Chair Based Exercise Class
The chair based exercise class is designed to take participants through a full body workout with minimal equipment and in a safe & stable environment.
As the name suggests this class uses a chair as the primary tool, but this doesn’t mean only sitting down. The chair provides a stable and suitable base of support for those who find their balance is generally challenged when performing exercise. This allows therapists to guide participants through a variety of strengthening and cardiovascular exercises without increasing the risk of falling.
In addition to the seated exercises we also utilise the chair as a stable point of contact to develop and progress our balance skills.
Our therapist will guide you through a 40 minute session that will work your upper and lower limbs, exercise your core and challenge your balance safely.
